Join British Columbia’s 2015 Sommelier of the Year, Jason Yamasaki, for this sit-down event featuring Argentinean wines paired with cuisine from Whistler’s own Wild Wood Bistro. As Group Sommelier for the Joey Restaurant Group, Yamasaki determines wine lists for restaurants across Canada and the west coast of the USA. He visited Argentina in 2013 and came back brimming with enthusiasm for the country’s food-friendly offerings. He will select, and comment on, a total of 8 Argentinean wines, which will be sampled with 3 dishes. The food will be prepared on-site by Wild Wood’s Chef Leah Brennan, who will offer tips and techniques to bring out the flavours of the meat for maximum enjoyment.
