The character of grapes and cacao beans are profoundly influenced by the geography and climate in which they’re grown, as well as how they’re processed. Wine educator Paul Watkin and Hodie Rondeau of Vancouver’s iconic XOXOLAT lead this guided tasting of wine and chocolate. Guests will first taste 2 Single Source Cacao samples to gain an appreciation for the link between their distinctive flavours and their place of origin; then 2 wine samples, ditto. Finally there will be a range of pairings that explore the synergistic flavours and textures of wine and chocolate that will have you "thinking outside the box".
